During our group meeting this week, we discussed several possibilities for wireframes, and our favorite one so far is attached. We plan to use a black and white color scheme (inspired by Encyclopédie plates) with accents of the “Tessé room green.” Because we will have a color and materials bar on the home page, we don’t want the page to be too busy or overwhelming. For headers and titles, we will use a font that mimics that used in the Encyclopédie.
On the main page, we will have a floor plan of the room, which visitors can click on to view information about selected items. We will also each have a link to the pages for our personal projects (except Avery, who will be designing the colors and materials bars on the home page).
We have also been using a shared spreadsheet to organize our weekly tasks, and are trying out the app, “Trello,” for group communication and organization. Each of us have specific goals each week. To share sources, we all downloaded Zotero.
Finally, we are planning a work weekend, where we book a room and all sit down together to go over any problems we have been having, and to complete our website as much as possible. We think this will be the most effective way to catch up with each other and to share our ideas as we finalize our web designs.
