Uses of Space: Weekly Update

My group is about a little over midway through the process of uploading our content onto our WordPress. Everything is coming together nicely as we formatted all of our images to look cohesive on our site. Editing and uploading my watercolor images was easier than I had anticipated. I expected to have to photoshop my paintings, but ended up being able to edit them in iPhoto which is a lot more simple, and then uploaded them after changing them to a uniform size.

The actual process of rendering the 18th c. furniture in watercolor was more finicky than I expected. I was very particular about my pigment colors not only being rich and beautiful but also being as close to accurate as possible. I was able to find a metallic gold paint which greatly enhanced the quality of the framework of the chairs. I was also careful to render the backs of the chairs at an accurate incline, which I thought was important because of how it pertains to the shape of the dresses the women wore at the time.
